Concrete Guttering Solutions Kent
An experienced contractor such as Finlock Removals is required if you want to safely remove and replace your old guttering with uPVC. With over 20 years’ experience, we have knowledgeable fitters who can advise on any questions you may have and we also offer a 10-year insurance-backed warranty.

Finlock Gutter Removal Process
Here at Finlock Removals, we have heavily invested in supplying our fitters with the most up-to-date Easi-dec access equipment. This reduces the need for scaffolding, which will save you hassle, time and money. The Easi-dec will be erected on arrival and taken down the next day, with minimal fuss or mess.
A diamond-tipped cutting blade is used to cut away and remove your concrete blocks. This is a noisy process and creates a fair amount of dust and this process must be carried out properly to avoid structural damage to your property. A pressure-treated timber will then be installed, giving us a straight, solid base to attach the new uPVC product to. This will also eliminate cold bridging.
Using only the best materials, a uPVC fascia will be installed, along with soffits and guttering. Each of our materials have a 50-year manufacturer’s guarantee, meaning they will not discolour or fade. Next, an EPS tray will be installed; this will overrun into the new guttering and slides underneath the tiles. This will provide ventilation to your roof space and direct all water into the new guttering.
The final and most crucial stage is joining your new uPVC guttering (if you’re not a detached property) to next door’s concrete guttering. This does require a lot of skill (which thankfully, Finlock Removals has in abundance!)
Finally, any mess is cleared away and you are left with functional, lovely new uPVC guttering, leaving your house looking stunning.
There are many advantages to having your concrete guttering replaced entirely, these are listed below:

Concrete Gutter Lining
If you are looking for an alternative to concrete gutter removal and require a more budget-friendly option, you could go for our concrete gutter lining procedure.
The gutter lining service is a cheaper option to the removal option. We understand the full concrete guttering removal may be too expensive for some and it requires careful consideration and planning. The alternative option is more cost effective and is still efficient in terms of stopping any issues you may be facing with leaking guttering.
While concrete guttering removal is often considered the safer option, concrete gutter lining has many advantages and is worth the investment.

Our experienced fitters will arrive with all the equipment needed; you should not need scaffolding up before or after (this may be different if access to the area is particularly problematic).
Tiles will carefully be removed and old linings cut away. Debris will be cleaned and removed from your guttering. Your new, clean gutters will then be painted with waterproof fibreglass.
If your house is terraced or semi-detached, this will be expertly joined to the neighbours’ gutters.
Next, an EPS (eaves protection system) is fitted to your home. We believe this is an essential step (which unfortunately not all companies do!). The EPS tray slides underneath the old felt and angles down into the gutter, ensuring no water can enter your home along the bottom of your roof felt, should there be any holes or rips. The trays are then joined together so that none of the trays can slip or move.
Flashform is fitted as an extra precaution to make your home even more waterproof. The tiles are then replaced and all mess and rubbish is tidied away.

Replace or Repair?
Poorly maintained concrete gutters can cause many issues for your home. Leakages, damp and building damage are just a few that we could mention.
These issues can be repaired by either gutter removal or lining. However, we would recommend a complete removal if you do not want the issues to return.
Cost
We understand that cost is a huge factor when deciding whether to choose concrete gutter removal or concrete gutter lining.
Concrete gutter lining is a better short-term, cost-effective solution. However, with this process, you could find that over time, the issues may arise again in the future. If your concrete gutters are completely removed and replaced, this will prevent future repair work.
While you may see concrete gutter removal as the more expensive option initially, it can mitigate any future repairs and costs, both internally and externally.
